How To Have Difficult Conversations

With Courage & Confidence

Hi-impact Coaching for conversations That Matter

If you’re reading this it's because there's someone in your life (personally or professionally) with whom it's hard to communicate. But you want to be able to do so because, for any number of reasons, there's something at stake. If there weren't, you probably wouldn't have clicked on this link.

You’re in the right place. If you have the willingness to try, then I can definitely show you how. Believe it or not, it’s less to do with being a great communicator or knowing the best techniques than you might think.

The day I decided to bring everything I had to a difficult conversation – not just my strengths and skills but also my sensitivities and insecurities – is the day I discovered the key to successfully navigating difficult conversations.

If you’ve not had a breakthrough with whatever type of difficult conversation you’re facing but you have a mission, dream, or just a mighty big heart, then I can help you. Let’s talk.

Why this course:

Being 100% willing to have a difficult conversation for the right reason is a life-changer because even if you feel uncomfortable and unsure the physical state of willingness gives you greater access to your innate intelligence, allowing you to trust your intuition in the moment. The challenge is how to get to that state and then maintain it when things get rough. That’s what I’ll show you how to do.

Who this is for:

This is for you if you have to have a difficult conversation (for a professional or personal goal) but you’ve tried and it hasn’t gone well or you’ve been avoiding it altogether. You’ve read books, taken trainings but nothing has led to a breakthrough. You’re not ready to give up but you’re getting fed-up.

What I can help you achieve:

  • Rapid rapport in adverse situations
  • Fulfilling and meaningful connection whether or not you agree with the other person
  • Ability to detect early on if communication is possible and know what to do if it’s not
  • Better able to anticipate what you can’t plan for
  • More insight than regret, especially if a conversation goes badly

A bit about myself

I’ve had professional training as a Dance-Movement Therapist and Leadership coach as well as extensive training in dance and acting. I've also had 14 totally unique jobs. And while different, the common thread was that I learned how to connect with another human being despite it being uncomfortable, inconvenient or unlikely. Each role taught me something important. Here’s a very short-list:

  • Flight Attendant: How to connect with someone in a fear state
  • Youth-at-risk Mentor Coordinator: How to connect with someone who no longer trusts
  • Leadership Coach: How to connect with someone who believes they know more than you
  • Sales Rep: How to connect with someone who has no interest in talking to you

But what I consider my best qualification for helping you have difficult conversations with confidence and courage is that I practice what I preach outside of it being a requirement for a job, degree or social recognition. I’m absolutely passionate about what it takes to make a human-to-human connection. It’s my life’s work.
